Prayer Requests & Financial Needs
While we appreciate any
financial support given, what we truly covet are your prayers for the
ministry provided at the coffeehouse. No true work of the Lord can
move forward without the crucial element of prayer.
The
heart of the ministry is to provide an environment where the Holy Spirit is
welcomed and given charge of all of the activities that take place. We
acknowledge that this ministry belongs to Jesus Christ and is not profitable
without His guidance and we request your prayer support to assure that this
focus remains on track. We can do nothing worthwhile in our own
strength.
The mortgage for the
building is the main financial need that the ministry has. The balance
on the building has recently dropped to just under $8,000 and the loan needs
to be refinanced in March, 2012. Our prayer has been that the Lord
will provide the financing to be able to pay off this balance so that the
loan will not have to be written again. With the economy being as
unstable as it has been in recent years the weekly donations coming in on
Saturday nights have decreased considerably. The resolution of that
loan would relieve the financial burden and allow us to pursue the renewal
of the food pantry that had been a previous part of the ministry. It's
an unquestionably needed project to have going at the coffeehouse, but one
we haven't been able to continue due to the lack of funding that has
been received.
